So the LADWP is laying new lines in my hood. They use these trucks to transport their backhoes. No, not all of them collectively... There's one truck dedicated to EACH backhoe. They show up each day, take the hoe off, then park the trucks for the whole day....... I'm starting to understand why my power bill is so high.

In college, I worked for the Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering Department (water and sewer). They had several tilt bed lowboy trailers pulled by Ford tractors. Each one hailed a backhoe. On the neck of the trailer was a variety of buckets, hammer, and plate compactor attachments. As far as I know, they have at least 4 of these setups today. Wish I had pictures…
