I have been living my 1/50 hobby vicariously through you guys for a long time now and the truck bug bit me again when I got myself a KW200 online. In my excitement of finally getting one of these Aussie behemoths, I was completely blinded to see that some of the chrome parts are missing on the model. The seller had happened to get the model as a gift and didn't know any better. So I contacted the Drake shop online for the parts and they replied that one of their representatives would contact me shortly. It has been 3 days now and there has been no response so far. I am from India and had offered to pay for the parts and the shipping. I do see some spares/add ons/ upgrades in their shop but none of these are applicable in my case.

My question for you guys is, does Drake collectibles send across spares ? Do I have to contact any other company who is possibly manufacturing the models on behalf of Drake? These being such expensive models, I would expect some kind of customer support. I am primarily a 1/18 car collector and I have had the good fortune to get spares for some of my premium models. I was expecting the same level of service from the 1/50 model makers.

Thanks Paul. That is reassuring. Infact, Michael did reply to my query yesterday and like you mentioned, they are flooded with new orders. I guess sooner or later my KW200 will be displayable again in the cabinet.
