ASAM Models (Alan Smith) has announced that they will cease production at the end of the year. This is the end of an era. I have really enjoyed collecting their models over the years.

Good luck Alan in your retirement.

Ditto Robert> I bet I owned 100 or more over the last 25 years. I sold them all, not thinking that I would ever miss them. Then came Sword trucks and the race was on. Then ever diecast maker jumped into the truck game. Some are good, some are lousy. Thank goodness Heavy Hauler Replicas came to town. They are heads above all the other truck makers. The thing about ASAM models was how heavy they were. You felt like you really got your money's worth. The detail was great, and the smell of the box when you opened it was really cool. Good luck and thanks Alan. Craig Whitley
