Oh well. Only way to find it now is if you had it bookmarked or Google the forum itself.
RIP to the original place where everyone chatted, posted pics of real machines and diecast, and bought/sold/traded not only models but memorabilia too.

Yep, it's a shame to see it all go away. Change is inevitable though I guess, but not always for the better. Facebook: NorCalDiecastCustomsInstagram: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton

It is a bit of a ghost town here, but I still check for new posts and always like to see people's models, customs and new purchases.
I've done a few little customs recently, and bought a few models too. I'll post them here soon, but time is not on my side at the moment - my wife has been unwell and I've been caring for her and single-parenting our two young kids for the past six months - I'm knackered. Model making has kept me going, along with playing guitar and drinking a shed load of wine.
New models include: Old Cars Fiat Allis FL20, FE40. NZG CAT 325BL with crusher. Someone else's custom CAT 992C which arrived today. Speccast International pipelayer in 1:25. Some Marklin Fuchs 301 shovels. there are more I'm sure, but I've forgotten!!

havent checked in here in a while. Came to the website to see Chuck has sold and things are closed down, had to google the forum just to get here.
Sad to see this place go by the wayside even though its just a shell of its former self. This is the place that got me into collecting models. Its been a pleasure being a part of this hobby with you all for the past 20 years.

It might be quiet on here as the hobby is kind of dead at the moment at least in North America. 1/50 diecast has always flourished in Europe and we have piggy packed off their continued success for decades but I assume due to world affairs and the economy now, we seem to be alienated by most of the European based manufactures. New NZG, Conrad, WSI and IMC releases are far and few between in the states as there are fewer dealers now or dealers that do not want to stock their entire product line. There are (4) Conrad Kobelco releases that we have yet to see released in North American yellow colors, multiple Yanmar 1/50th excavators that are not available in North America, most of the NZG Wirtgen products are all out of stock, Liebherr models are considerably harder to find, WSI is hit and miss which leaves us stuck with ERTL who has not updated their tooling and model making process since the 90's. Right now it seems like Heavy Haul Replicas, Weiss Bros, First Gear (kind of) and Diecast Masters are bailing us out at the moment with new truck, crane and Cat models releases. Maybe someone can explain it better than me but that is just my observation on what is going on here in the United States and North America at the moment. I have been slightly downsizing my collection to free up room but I did buy a few new HHR releases this year. Will continue to do so as they constantly put out new models. Just focusing on other interests now until the new releases and model availability improves significantly again in North America.
