I know the forum is very much on its way out now, but I figured I'd contribute to the last-ditch efforts by other members.

I've been buying back into the hobby with some large 1:50 cranes and have been doing some scratch building and modifying. Of particular note is the IMC Demag CC2800, which is my very first model from this manufacturer, and I am very impressed; it easily surpasses both Conrad and NZG in terms of presentation and level of detail. Quality is of the same very high standard.

I scratch built a runner tip for the smaller boom head, and have since made an adapter that allows for it to be fitted to the heavy-lift boom head as well. I'm also in the process of making a large transformer which will serve as a load both for the CC2800 and as a tandem load for two large mobile cranes. MANY projects and ideas are brewing, but I'm short on time and energy, so it'll take a while to get things happening!
