I just noticed a magic trick, after the Peterbilt unloaded the trailer of tires it morphed into a Western Star! Cool Cool

Claus,

I had noted the change as well, but we'll say that LorraMine received more than one tires transport, as the combination with the Western Star can be seen, fully loaded, in a previous picture:

Back to the Bucyrus lifting scene, where pre-load tests have been successfully completed: that's today the Great Day for the MegaTraction staff in charge of demonstrating equipment capabilities.

Wooden mats are inserted below the shovel counterweight:

The lift can commence, with all LorraMine Management attending:

Simply impressive!

To be continued.

The lift "seen" by the drone:

On the "helicopter view", have you noted the Towhaul bringing in a large Caterpeillar dozer?

Guy what can I say? Impressive. Also the new Pete was probably being traded in for a older more reliable Volvo VHD and the Western Star just happened to have a set of keys in it, so they hooked it up to the tire trailer.

The lift is progressing slowly but as planned:

End of the lifting sequence, the shovel main axle has been freed from the chassis assembly and dismantling work can begin:

While some maintenance Techs are inspecting the axle, some others prepare the shovel crawlers chassis for the move:

The yard crane is assisting in the tracks dismantling operation:
