Oh no doubt the tipping angle or lack of is a simple easy fix,but again its the fundamental feature of the model, being a dump truck. I'm still firmly in the corner of you should never have to touch a model out of the box,bar you are purposely customizing it
Those A25d's were fantastic, also the first high quality run of A40d's,i think these came in the blue box in expanded polystyrene shells, delicate but super detail for their day
Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?
... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt
The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

digggerr wrote:how can you give this thing a "highly recommended" rating and sleep at night? The badge comes from the % score it gets in the rating system, and in many respects this version of the A40F is a nice model so overall the score is high enough to get the badge. With a better tipping function the % score would have been higher. Of course I present the issue about the tipping angle as clearly as I can so people can decide how much it matters to them. Good thing the LHM 500 is 1/87, or I would want one.

Cranes Etc wrote:Liebherr LHM 500 'Wallmann'The review of this model is now on Cranes Etc. Ian Very nice model. I would love a LHM 500 in 1/50th scale. The detail on the model is a bit disappointing though. From what I could see in the video both cabs lack a lot of interior detail. That's a shame because they both have very large windows.

Ian always gives a good review on everything and also points out irregularities that not everyone can see. Case in point, the Motorart Volvo EC480 and the all plastic hydraulic cylinders. As one person told me, "if you don't like the message don't shoot the messenger". Keep up the great reviews Ian, we really like them and the added hilarity you put in them.
Dain I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!! Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

Thanks for the review Ian, now I know where to put the final small part. Hadn't noticed the opening railings either.

Hi there, just noticed the 'quality' score is 2. I presume that should be twenty-something.
