All 4 axis are finally removed:  Bucket and digging arm can then be separated:  A quick check of arm wear rings:  Meanwhile, a slightly damaged axis is repaired on site:  To be continued (tomorrow). Regards. Guy

The Bucyrus shovel is turned to get the overhauled bucket fitted:   Once an axis is installed, the Atlas-Copco unit pushes it in position:   To be continued. Guy

The change-over operation continues as night comes:  Meanwhile, the old bucket is being loaded:  After all verifications and final checks are successfully completed, the shovel picks up its electrical supply cable and crawls back to its working site:   Regards. Guy

Guy, in the first post you say that LorraMine doesn’t exist. I beg to differ. The mine does exist, and you prove it with these fantastic pictures. The people that worked on this project love their work and it shows. There must be a gold medal award somewhere for them to receive. It would be a dream to make the trip to see it in person. Mike
