Hello gents,
I have been collecting transport, heavy haulage, craneage and plant equipment in a 1:50 scale in South of France for many years and I met in 2010 some other fellow collectors in a model show held in Menton (French Riviera, close to the Italian border), part of the "Azur Modelisme" association concentrating on haulage and plant equipment at the same scale.
Key members of that association - Jean-Jacques, Jean-Francois and Jean-Paul, the "3J" - have first agreed to share their collection on some French forums, and accepted today that I could display our collections on this international one.
I therefore offer to open a new subject in this forum, dedicated to our models.

A STAG (French heavy haulage company, now disappeared) convoy from Azur Modelisme origin. The front tow truck - a Willeme TG 180 - and the pusher - a Berliet TBO 15 M3 - both Minitrucks kits, are moving a Goldhofer THP6 modular semi-trailer with a 2-axle Nooteboom dolly (Zon Models kits). The load is made of an-ex Peugeot 403 car petrol pump:   Regards. Guy

Another Azur Modelisme heavy haulage set. The Renault R310 tractor (MiniCams kit) and its Nicolas Teckel 3-axle lowloader (Minitrucks kit), both in Richelmi livery (a company located in Monaco, nearby) are carrying an Elder 835 hydraulic excavator (NZG model):  Regards. Guy

Hi Guy,
welcome aboard - thanks for sharing. Will never forget my first ride in a Berliet "porte-char" tractor. Or the bright red Pacifics used by DEWASME. Any chances of a Berliet GBO 15 6x6 Petrolier? That's one of my favourite heavy haulage tractors of all times. The French special transport scene is top notch.

A model in my collection:     The Conrad model is comprised of: a MAN TGX 41-680BBS 8x4/4 tractor truck + a Goldhofer STHP-L10/THP-L12 girders modular trailer + a MAN TGA 41-660 FVD 8x4/4 ballasted pusher. The load is made of a 265 tonnes maritime MAN B&W 18V48/60CR engine (Conrad). Regards. Guy

Renault TBH 6x4 tractor (MiniCams kit) + Broshuis 4-axle lowloader (Zon Models kit):  3 Renault vehicles, built in a 1:50 scale by MiniCams in Cochery, Bourdin & Chaussé livery (a French civil engineering company): Renault C290-19T 4x2 tractor with Kaiser Karat 2-axle tipping semi-trailer, Renault GBH280 6x4 tipper and Renault CBH320 6x4 tipper, both fitted with Marrel tipping bodies:     Regards. In the US, delivery by a Komatsu Equipment dealer of a 39.2 tonnes D 155 AX-5 bulldozer (Joal model). The combination is made of an International Paystar 5000 6x4/2 tractor (modified Conrad model) towing a 3-axle Trail King TK 110 HDG lowbed (modified Norscot model):    Regards. Guy

 A Scania-ACTM heavy haulage combination. Scania T142E-470 6x4/2 tractor (modified Heavy Goods kit) + ACTM S104-505 5-axle beams semi-trailer with ACTM BIT 2-axle front dolly (modified MiniCams kit), loaded with a P&H 670 WL lattice crawler of 56.7 tonnes (NZG mode):   Regards. Guy

Road haulage of a 720 tonnes capacity hydraulic lifting system (YCC model):  Volvo FM 12 II-T400 6x4/2 tractor (modified WSI model) + ultra-low extendable bed 3-axle Goldhofer STZ-VL3-37/80A semi-trailer (modified Tekno model) loaded with 4 triple extension hydraulic rams sets (YCC elements):  DAF FT 85 CF-T410 6x2/4 tractor (modified Tekno model) + unknown brand 3-axle flatbed semi-trailer (modified Tekno model) carrying a Goldhofer STZ extension bed element, skidding beams and other ancillary equipment for the hydraulic lifting system (Tekno and YCC elements):  The only picture of the full-size hydraulic lifting gear I could find, in a Wagenborg Nedlift brochure. Any info (fabricator, weight of the various elements, etc) on that equipment is welcome:  Regards. Guy

In Germany during the sixties, a Henschel HS 22 TK 6x4/2 truck, fitted with a Teha tipping unit, is towing its matching Heuser 1+1-axle tipping trailer (GMTS models):    Regards. Guy
