Craig, The Maduraud is an ex French Army plant equipment low bed transport semi-trailer (mainly carrying the Army Nordest crawlers crane) and offered in kit or built forms in 1/50 scale by Minitrucks, while A. Smith produces a 1/48 Dyson very similar to this one, also with a 2-line arrangement and loading from rear after removal on the 2 lines (see below a picture of the French Army Maduraud version): Regards. In the 1/50 car model still with a Hong Kong producer, not very well-known in Europe: Tiny City, at a time when this town was still Her Majesty's "territory": - left: Morris Mini Pick-up Mk1 4x2/2 pick-up car with a sheeted rear body (Tiny City model, sold with 7 pumpkins) - in the centre: 2 Morris Mini Cooper Mk1 4x2/2 cars (Tiny City models), - right: Morris Mini Van Mk1 4x2/2 van car (Tiny City model). It should be noted that all these 1/50 cars are nicely reproduced; true scale, suspensions, opening doors... To be continued. Guy

Other brand producing some 1/50 models, Majorette (see the Suzuki mini-truck above). Their wide production (in all sorts of scale) is more to do with toys than real models, despite some nice additions (opening doors, tinted screen, ...): Toyota Rav4 2.0i 4x4/2 cross-country coupe car with tarpaulin (modified(*) Majorette model), Note (*): model "button" wheels were reduced in width, which I thought was oversized. Another Majorette model, the Lancia Monte-Carlo: Lancia Beta Monte-Carlo cabriolet car 4x2/2 (modified(*) Majorette model), Note (*): original decals were removed, the model repainted with new decals added, together with more realistic wheels. Sometimes, there is a doubt about model scale. An example is the Airbus helicopter from Jägerndorfer, Austrian modeller specialized in "winter sports" models, such as snow guns, cable cars...: Full scale dimensions of the Eurocopter H 135 (written at the back of the box of the ÖAMTC helicopter) together with measurements on the model, suggest that it is more a 1/55 reduction than the 1/50 scale advertised in their catalog above. Mercedes-Benz Actros 3351 LS MP4 6x4/2 tractor (WSI model) and Nooteboom EURO 103-24 ID modular semi-trailer with a 4-axle rear module, extendible extra-low bed and integrated 2-line dolly (Conrad model(*) being modified), carrying a 61.2 tonnes Vestas V80-2.0 (2000kW, 600V) windmill generator under TUFD cover (IMC load), Note (*): bought for a fair price from e... as it was missing a second spare wheel (at right); its Conrad coupling was removed to be replaced by a WSI-type pin and their widening devices and planks were removed. New widening devices are to be glued on bed sides plus a new coat of paint applied. Regards. Guy

The Renault R35 light tank, which was quickly outnumbered in front of German tanks in spite of its thick armor plates, as it was used in small numbers as an infantry support only: Wikipedia article dedicated to the Renault R35 tank: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_R35To be continued. Guy
