Alberta Millwright wrote:Hey Paul are those counter weights for the Riga 1500 supposed to be black and not red? I was thinking of picking that one up and noticed online they are black on the real machine. As Paul already said, they are red on the new LTM 1500-8.1 of Riga Mainz - the one that the model is made after, see here: http://www.hansebubeforum.de/showtopic.php?threadid=6699&pagenum=37#550792You may have seen the old LTM 1500 of Riga Mainz, no longer in service - that crane went when the new one came. See here: http://www.hansebubeforum.de/showtopic.php?threadid=6699&pagenum=29#521124And btw I think this is the reason why the jib of the old one was blue: http://www.hansebubeforum.de/showtopic.php?threadid=6699&pagenum=21#456452

Steve, I think I picked the wrong emoticon! My reaction was supposed to have been a more "don't know what you're talking about officer" than an actually don't know what you mean! Cheers, Paul

Great pics as per usual! Quick question (and apologies if it has been answered previously), what are you using to lift the counter-weights? Trying to devise something myself, and not having much luck :(

Hi Paul, thanks for the update and great to see some Canadian metal added to the fleet. There is an interesting video from Guay Crane overviewing their LTM 11200, but seemingly quoting the max capacity in short tonnes. It is also interesting to see that they transport the crane without the boom and without the superstructure. Guay Crane LTM 11200Take care and all the best.
